Deposit
Your first deposit opens your account. Send at least 1 USDC from your wallet on Ethereum, or $5 from another chain or exchange ($10 in Bitcoin), and it usually lands in a few minutes.
On this page: Choose how to send it
The exchange has no separate sign-up: the first deposit credited to your wallet’s address opens an account on the exchange in your name. Deposits sit in your own account, held by smart contracts on Ethereum, and Mirrorlane never holds them.
Choose how to send it
Section titled “Choose how to send it”When you connect a wallet with no account, Open your account offers two ways in and marks one Recommended: your wallet, when it holds enough USDC on its network, or a deposit address otherwise. A direct USDC route sits below both.
| Way in | How it works | First deposit from | Arrives in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Another chain or exchange | An address on 12 networks, Bitcoin, Solana and Tron among them, that you send to from any wallet or exchange | $5, or $10 in Bitcoin | A few minutes |
| Your wallet on Ethereum | Straight to Lighter’s deposit contract: an approval, then the deposit | 1 USDC | A few minutes |
| Your wallet on Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, HyperEVM or Monad | One USDC transfer from your wallet, with no approval | 5 USDC | A few minutes |
| USDC on Avalanche or Arc | A direct USDC route, to your own address on that network | 5 USDC | Longer than the others |
Every route, its assets and its later minimums are on Deposits.
By a deposit address
Section titled “By a deposit address”- Under Where are your funds?, pick the network you’re sending from.
- Check the assets it takes and how to credit them. Keep USDC to perps, the default, to trade perpetuals once you’re set up.
- Tick I’ll send only the listed assets to this address. The address and its QR code show once you do. Before showing it, Mirrorlane checks on your device that the address credits your wallet.
- Send at least the minimum from your wallet or exchange. Send a little more: bridging and swaps can lose some to slippage.
See what arrives gives a quote for an amount, with fees and timing. It’s an estimate, and the address works without one.
From your wallet
Section titled “From your wallet”Pick your wallet’s card, enter the amount, and check the receipt: what you send, the gas your wallet will ask for, and what’s credited. Your wallet switches to the network if it isn’t there already.
- On Ethereum, your wallet approves exactly the amount for the deposit contract, then sends the deposit: two transactions, with gas paid in ETH. An earlier approval that covers the amount saves the first one.
- On another network, your wallet sends USDC in one transaction, with no approval.
Wait for it to land
Section titled “Wait for it to land”The tracker follows your deposit from the network it left to your account, with how long it has run and when it last checked. You can close it: the tracker keeps checking, and a notice says Your account is open when it lands, with Enable trading.
Most deposits land in a few minutes. After 10 minutes the tracker says Taking longer than usual. When bridges are busy, a deposit can take up to an hour; there’s nothing to do on your side.
Once the tracker says Your account is open, enable trading on this device: one or two signatures in your wallet, and no money moves.
