Transfers
Move money between your own accounts, between spot and perps, or to someone else on the exchange. Transfers arrive instantly, and only a transfer to someone else needs your wallet.
On this page: Three kinds
Open Transfer from the account menu or the money sheet. It has three tabs, and the receipt shows what arrives, the fee, what’s taken from your account and who signs, before you send.
Three kinds
Section titled “Three kinds”| Tab | Moves | Signed by | Arrives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your accounts | USDC from perps, or any spot balance, between your main account and sub-accounts | This device’s key alone | Instantly |
| Spot and perps | USDC between perps and spot on the same account | This device’s key alone | Instantly |
| To someone else | USDC from perps, or any spot balance, to another person’s account | This device’s key and your wallet | Instantly |
Between your accounts
Section titled “Between your accounts”Pick the account it goes to under Between. Each side shows its name and what it has available. A balance moves into the same place it left: perps to perps, spot to spot. Move funds, on any row in Accounts, opens this tab with both accounts filled in.
With only one account, the tab offers to create a sub-account instead. See Sub-accounts.
Between spot and perps
Section titled “Between spot and perps”Spot and perps moves USDC on the account you’re trading from; the arrow between From and To swaps the direction. Perps funds futures trading, and spot holds tokens. When a spot buy needs USDC that sits in perps, the ticket offers Transfer funds to spot with the amount filled in.
Moving USDC out of perps while positions are open warns first: it leaves less margin behind them and may bring them closer to liquidation.
An account in Unified mode, which is set in Lighter’s app, has no Spot and perps tab.
To someone else
Section titled “To someone else”Type a wallet address (0x…) or an account index under To a wallet address or account index. Mirrorlane checks it on the exchange first and says whose it is: their main account, or, when their wallet holds several accounts, the one you pick. Your wallet then signs the transfer once.
Fees and minimums
Section titled “Fees and minimums”- Fee: the exchange’s fee for the transfer, read before you send and charged on top of the amount. The receipt shows it, or None. Premium accounts transfer for free.
- Minimum: each asset has its own, shown under the amount; for USDC it’s 1 USDC.
- Max fills in what’s available, less the fee when you send USDC.
What can go wrong
Section titled “What can go wrong”- You can’t transfer to your own account. That address is your own wallet. Use Your accounts instead, with no wallet signature.
- Not enough USDC for transfer fees. The fee comes on top: send a little less.
- The fee changed. If the exchange’s fee moved since the form showed it, nothing is sent; the form shows the new total to check.
- Margin is used by active orders. Cancel some of them to transfer more.
- The connection dropped after sending. Mirrorlane reads the transfer’s record for two minutes and never sends it twice by itself. Transfer not found means nothing moved.
