Deposits

Deposit from 14 networks, by an address you send to from any wallet or exchange, or straight from your connected wallet. Most deposits land in a few minutes, in your own account.

On this page: Ways in

Open Deposit from the header, the account panel or the account menu, or on a phone from the wallet button. It lists the ways in, each with what it takes and how long, and every deposit lands in your own account on the exchange, held by smart contracts on Ethereum.

Way in Networks Minimum Arrives in
From another chain or exchange (Recommended) 12, by a deposit address From $3, by network A few minutes
From your wallet on Ethereum Ethereum 1 USDC, or the same value of another asset A few minutes
From your wallet on another network Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, HyperEVM, Monad 3 or 5 USDC, by route A few minutes
USDC on Avalanche or Arc Avalanche and Arc, by a direct route 5 USDC Longer than the others

Your first deposit opens your account, and a few minimums are higher for it; see Deposit.

Network You can send First deposit Later deposits
Arbitrum USDC, USDT, ETH, DAI, USDe, wETH $5 $3

Send a little more than the minimum: bridging and swaps can lose some to slippage. On HyperEVM, send from HyperEVM, not HyperCore.

  1. Under Where are your funds?, pick the network you’re sending from.
  2. Under Credit it as, choose USDC to perps, USDC to spot, or ETH to spot. Perps funds futures trading; spot holds tokens.
  3. Tick I’ll send only the listed assets to this address, and the address and its QR code show. Mirrorlane first checks on your device that the address credits your wallet, and says so under it.
  4. Send from any wallet or exchange.

One address serves every EVM network in the list; Solana, Tron and Bitcoin each have their own. See what arrives gives a quote for an amount, with its fees and timing. With sub-accounts, the deposit is credited to the account named at the top of the money sheet.

Send only the listed assets, on the network you picked. Anything else sent to the address may be lost. Check the network in your wallet or exchange before you send.

Your wallet sends the deposit itself, and switches to the network first if it needs to. The receipt shows the gas it will ask for and where the deposit is credited.

Network What your wallet sends Minimum Credited to
Ethereum An approval for exactly the amount, then the deposit to Lighter’s contract; gas in ETH. An earlier approval that covers the amount saves the first 1 USDC, or about $1 of another asset USDC to perps or spot; other assets to spot
Arbitrum, Base, HyperEVM One USDC transfer, by the fast bridge 5 USDC Perps
Optimism, Polygon, Monad One USDC transfer to your deposit address, bridged through Ethereum $3, or $5 for a first deposit Perps or spot

Which networks go by the fast bridge follows the exchange’s own list, so it can change. From any other network, or with another asset, use a deposit address. Deposits on Ethereum and by the fast bridge are credited to your main account; a deposit through your deposit address, from Optimism, Polygon or Monad, goes to the account named at the top of the sheet.

USDC on Avalanche or Arc has a direct route of its own: send at least 5 USDC to your own address on that network, and it lands in perps in your main account. Each network has its own address, and this route takes longer than the others.

Once you send, the tracker shows the amount, how long it has run, when it last checked, and where it is: received on the network, in the bridge, then credited. You can close it; a notice says when it lands, and Money history in your account keeps every deposit with its status.

After 10 minutes the tracker says Taking longer than usual; for the direct route, after 30. When bridges are busy a deposit can take up to an hour, and the tracker keeps checking.

  • The fast bridge is busy. The form says a deposit may take up to an hour. A deposit from Ethereum goes straight to the contract instead.
  • Deposit addresses are unavailable. The address route says so; your wallet deposit still works.
  • The bridge won’t take deposits for this wallet. No address is shown. Deposit from your wallet on Ethereum instead.
  • Your wallet doesn’t confirm whether it sent. Mirrorlane looks for the transfer on the network and never sends it twice by itself. If your wallet’s activity shows no transfer either, press Send again.
  • A deposit didn’t land. The tracker says This deposit didn’t land. Copy its transaction and send it to Lighter’s support, with a ticket in #support on Lighter’s Discord, so they can trace the funds.
