If Mirrorlane is unavailable
Your money, positions and orders are on Lighter, so you can reach them without Mirrorlane. Use Lighter’s own app with the same wallet, and if Lighter itself stops processing withdrawals, take your balance out on Ethereum.
On this page: What keeps working
Mirrorlane is a window onto your account on Lighter. If our site is down, your account is where it was, and everything on it carries on.
What keeps working
Section titled “What keeps working”Your funds and positions stay on the exchange, and so do your resting orders: limit orders, stops, take profit and stop loss, and TWAP orders keep working there.
Chase Limit, Iceberg and Advanced TWAP run in your browser, so they stop when the last Mirrorlane tab closes. The orders they placed expire within an hour, and the strategies pick up where they left off when you open Mirrorlane again.
Use Lighter’s app
Section titled “Use Lighter’s app”Open app.lighter.xyz and connect the same wallet. It is the same account, with your balances, positions, orders, history and account type, so you can close positions, cancel orders and withdraw from there.
On a device where it has no key yet, Lighter’s app asks your wallet to sign for a key of its own, in a slot its apps keep for themselves, so your Mirrorlane key keeps working. Its API keys page lists your Mirrorlane key too, and you can revoke it there.
If only part of Mirrorlane is down
Section titled “If only part of Mirrorlane is down”Our servers aren’t in the path of your trades: orders, prices and your positions pass straight between your browser and the exchange. If only our servers are down, the deposit routes that need an address from us wait, and trading, withdrawals and transfers keep working as long as the terminal loads.
Your way out on Ethereum
Section titled “Your way out on Ethereum”If a withdrawal isn’t processed in time, you can still take your full balance out on Ethereum.
Lighter’s contract on Ethereum takes priority requests straight from your wallet: a withdrawal, a cancel of all your orders, or a reduce-only order that fills what it can at once and cancels the rest. Lighter has to process them within a set time. If it doesn’t, the contract freezes. You can then rebuild your account from the data Lighter has posted to Ethereum, prove what it holds and withdraw the full value of your assets on Ethereum, with no one else involved.
Mirrorlane doesn’t send priority requests. Lighter’s app offers them on its Ethereum Gateway page, and Lighter documents them as priority transactions. Each is an Ethereum transaction from your wallet, paid for in gas.
A secure withdrawal you have already sent finishes on Ethereum without Mirrorlane. Lighter usually claims it into your wallet for you; if it doesn’t, your wallet can claim it from the contract.
Getting help
Section titled “Getting help”For a problem with your account on the exchange itself, Lighter’s support works through tickets on its Discord.
